How to build

The robot

a.) The blue throne and the palace under construction are mounted on 2 vertical DC motors. 2 LEDs flash continuously on the screen while the motors move the small figures. The program starts automatically.

b.) The white beams help you to create the scene, the imitation. The elephant and the little ants can be moved separately.

c.) The white beams are used to puppeteer the imitation. The figures can be moved together.

How to build

The robots

a.) The throne: mounted on 1 servo motor and in its default position, it is laid down flush with the screen. 1 LED is mounted.

  • The palace: 1 servo motor is mounted on the gate and the LED of the gate under construction.
  • There are 2 touch sensors on the puppet theatre. Pressing one of them will make the throne rise, the palace gate will also be built, i.e. it will also rise. The LEDs on them turn on. Pressing the other button causes the LEDs to go out, the throne and the palace gate reset.

b.)The 2 DC motors are mounted horizontally, with the elephant on one and the little ants on the other. There are 2 touch sensors, one for the right and one for the left, to symbolize imitation.

How to build

The robots

a.) Ulukepez, the bird: 4 touch sensors, 2 figures that can be moved on 2 DC motors. The 4 touch sensors can be moved foreward-backward-right-left, so that it can be directed in front of the IR photoreflector mounted on the puppet theatre.

  • The throne and the palace: the two figures are mounted on 1 servo motor and can be moved up and down simultaneously on the gears on both sides and are equipped with 1 – 1 LED. When the bird is placed in front of the IR photoreflector, the puppet theatre program starts and the two figures are lifted up, the LEDs turn on and start flashing. When the robot moves away from the IR photoreflector, the LEDs turn off and the throne and the palace on the drive rail return to their original positions.

b.) The Sultan of Elephants randomly turns right or left with 1 servo motor.

  • The little ant is on 1 servo motor and turns delayed towards the Sultan of Elephants. This movement can be triggered by the pupils using 1 IR photoreflector and 1 white building block. When the little ant turns in the right direction the green LED flashes, when it turns in the wrong direction the red LED flashes.

a.) The throne and the palace: 2 servo motors with 1 – 1 LED are mounted and can be moved up and down separately. 4 touch sensors control the two motors to control the whole structure, 2 control the throne, 2 control the palace. In both cases, one moves the figures up and the other down on the rack by stepping, introducing the concept of variable when programming.

b.) The palace and the blue throne are built with a special puzzle-like construction on 6 servo motors. The program starts automatically when the power is turned on.
