Who is Lewis Carroll?

Lewis Carroll, is an English writer of children’s fiction, notably Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and its sequel Through the Looking-Glass, which you will work on in this class. Alice is considered to be one of the best examples of the literary nonsense genre.

Plot summary:

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is a story of a young girl named Alice falling through a rabbit hole into a fantasy world populated by peculiar, anthropomorphic creatures. It is considered to be one of the best examples of the literary nonsense genre. Famous scenes you will be working on in this class and the characters in it are: Alice going down the rabbit hole. Alice meeting the White Rabbit. Alice attending a Mad Tea Party; Alice meeting the Caterpillar that teaches her to eat a mushroom to control her size, and Alice meeting the Cheshire-Cat in the forest.
