Otfried Preußler

The popular German children´s book author was born in Northern Bohemia in 1923. During World War II. he was arrested by the soviets, in the prison he began telling stories and putting on theater plays. After five years of captivity he migrated to Upper Bavaria and became a primary school teacher. He wrote over 35 books that have been translated into 55 languages worldwide.

Plot summary:

Two good friends, Kasperl and Seppel want to catch the notorious robber Hotzenplotz. Because he stole their grandmother´s valuable coffee grinder. Unfortunately, they fall into the hands of the robber and an evil wizard. In the end they manage to free themselves and Grandmother also gets her coffee grinder back.
