The Five Loaves

Ion Creangă (1837-1889): widely considered one of the foremost figures of Romanian children’s literature, his tales and anecdotes generally depict rural life in the 19th century.
The story in short
This tale is about two wanderers, who go on a journey to try their luck. On the road, they meed an old wanderer, whom they invite for a meal. The old man thanks their hospitality with money, who accept it after some insistance. However, the two wanderer cannot agree on how to split the reward between themselves. To solve the problem, they seek out a judge.
