Servo motor cage

P2

How to build

Servo motor cage

  • The carriage and the cage are built in the same way as P1, with 2 Touch sensors.
  • The cage door can be opened with 1 servo motor.
  • The carriage moves with 2 DC motors.
  • One of the Touch sensors starts and moves as long as you press it down. If you release the Touch sensor, the carriage stops.
  • Press the other Touch sensor to open the cage door for 2 seconds and then close it.

Environmentally responsive robot

P3

How to build

Environmentally responsive robot

  • The carriage with the cage as in P2.
  • The cage is equipped with 2 IR photoreflectors.
  • One sensor is outside the cage. When it detects Don Quixote, the cage door opens and closes after 2 seconds.
  • The other IR photoreflector is in the cage. When Don Quixote comes in front of it, after a 2 second delay, the carriage starts moving forward for 3 seconds and then stops.

Robot with multiple sensors

P4

How to build

Robot with multiple sensors

  • The robot in the P3 is complemented by an IR photoreflector, which is mounted in front.
  • Thus the robot watches the objects in front of it. This allows the cart to stop in front of friends when it detects the figures.
