Bike & Airplane

Programming level 1

Build a pilgrim on a bike & Build an openable airplane

P1

How to build

Bike

  • Use the assembly instructions
  • Use 1 DC motor and 1 battery box
  • The bike should move when the battery box is swithced on and should be directed by turning the handlebars

OR

  • Use a mother board, 1 DC motor
  • The bike should start to move when the robot is switched on and should be directed by turning the handlebars

Airplane

  • Building a big plane
  • The top can be opened up with an axle, so that equipment and passengers can be built
  • The tail can be rotated on an axle

Programming level 2

Build a pilgrim on a bike and control it & Build a motorized openable plane

P2

How to build

Bike

  • Use the same structure as in P1
  • Use a mother board, 1 DC motor, 2 LED-s on two sides of it
  • The bike should start to move when the robot is switched on
  • One of the LED should lit randomly and the student ahs to direct the robot into the direction of the LED

Airplane

  • Use the same structure as in P1
  • Use a motherboard, 2 servo motors ( 1 for the top, 1 for the tail), 1 Sound sensor and 1 Touchsensor
  • The tail starts moving activated by the Sound sensor, the top by the Touch sensor

Programming level 3

Build a pilgrim on a bike and control it & Build a runway for the plane to take off

P3

How to build

Bike

  • Use a similar structure as in P1
  • Use a mother board, 1 DC motor, 2 Touch sensors on two sides of it and 1 servo motor in the handlebars
  • The bike should start to move when the robot is switched on
  • The servo motor should turn to the direction of the pressed Touch sensor and return to the basic position when both Touch sensors are released

Airplane

  • The runway is built of drive rails, at an ascending angle
  • Use a motherboard, 2 DC motors, gears as wheels. 1 LED and an IR Photoreflector for detecting the end of the runway
  • The aircraft starts automatically on power-up and rolls to the end of the runway, illuminated, at an increasing speed. When it detects the end of the runway, it stops.

Programming level 4

Build a pilgrim on a bike and control it & Build an aircraft that actually takes off

P4

How to build

Bike

  • Use a similar structure as in P3
  • Use a mother board, 1 DC motor, 2 Touch sensors on two sides of it and 2 servo motors in the elbows of the figure
  • The bike should start to move when the robot is switched on
  • The servo motor should turn to the direction of the pressed Touch sensor and return to the basic position when both Touch sensors are released

Airplane

  • Use a similar structure as in P3
  • Use a motherboard, 2 DC motors, 3 servo motors, 1 IR Photoreflector, string
  • The plane starts automatically when it is powered on
  • The runway consists of 2 sections, the second section is lifted (tilted) by servo motors when the aircraft reaches the IR photoreflector
  • Suspended by the string, the aircraft flies when it reaches the end of the runway
