RIDEX camp 5 – 8. June 2023. – Horány

The RIDEX camp was an exciting and inspiring adventure, where representatives from different countries explored together the diversity of science, languages and creativity. The first day was dedicated to community building, where children got to know each other and formed teams. During the evening activities, participants were introduced to their national dances, foods and traditions, fostering cultural understanding and a sense of belonging.

On the morning of the second day, the team leader transported the campers to the magical world of fairies. They were given a variety of challenges and tasks, during which they not only developed their problem-solving skills but also created their own fairy characters. During the afternoon, they were able to put their talents to the test in robotics, while the increasingly dissolving language barriers allowed for freer communication and collaboration.

One of the highlights of the day was a visit to CSOPA – Science Center, where the children participated in a variety of science games and activities with complete dedication. This experience enriched their knowledge and inspired them. For the rest of the day, some groups took a break to visit the Danube, where the proximity of nature offered new experiences.

The last day was no less exciting and meaningful. The children took part in more robotics sessions and finished putting together their robots and programmes. In the evening, marshmallow baking, music and dancing made the last moments of the camp memorable.

At the end of the camp, the participating teams said goodbye, enriched by shared experiences and friendships. As the Turkish and Budapest teams left the camp site in a joint bus, the Satu Mare group left for home and the fairies said goodbye to the Horány camp site…
